Hike and bike the land, bathe in the sun, and disconnect to reconnect.
Golf Course
-
Accessibility: Par 3 courses are often shorter and less challenging than full-size courses, making them more accessible to beginner and intermediate golfers. This can help build confidence and skill in a less intimidating environment.
Time: Because par 3 courses are shorter, they typically take less time to play than full-size courses. This can be appealing to busy golfers who want to fit in a quick round or practice session.
Affordability: Par 3 courses often have lower greens fees than full-size courses, making them more affordable for golfers on a budget.
Fun: Par 3 courses can be a fun and enjoyable way to play golf with friends and family. The shorter holes can lead to more birdie opportunities and highlight the short game, which can be a blast to play.
Practice: Par 3 courses can also be a great way to work on your short game, which is often the most challenging part of golf. By playing on a course that focuses on shorter shots, golfers can hone their skills and improve their accuracy and precision.

"This is a nature getaway 15 minutes from downtown," Carson said. "It hasn't been developed because of its history of mining, and a lot of reclamation needs to be done, utilities need to be brought in. But as Austin grows, Dog's Head is going to be in the middle of the region in the next five to 10 years."
